New Songs! No Plastic, but Possibly Some Waiting June 30, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — theanswerisseven @ 1:47 pm

My Library school graduation has finally caught up with me. I had been storing our songs on the CUA server and no longer have access to it.

We have two new songs, Rush Hour, and Move into the Sun, but unfortunately I cannot link them here.

I knew this would happen eventually but hadn’t planned ahead. I am exploring Google Sites to transfer our content.

In the meantime, if anyone has some server space to donate, please let us know.

Peace.

Closer to Folk May 8, 2009

The Liz Phair starcrush thing is getting a little out of control, leaning our folk-rock covers closer to rock (although you should really hear Jacob do his unplugged version of  “Why Can’t I?”). Luckily, our original songs are balancing that out by being closer to folk.

Here is the first in what might be a series of folker than folk songs inspired by Greenbelt. The Typewriter Song was inspired by my first visit to Old Greenbelt in 2006.

Peace.

We may not be state-of-the-art but we hereby offer you a first-of-its-kind elegy lamenting the end of my library school career.

Enjoy our new song, working title “Elegy.”

Peace.

What can we say? It’s been a tuneful March.

Open During Construction chronicles Kelly’s Peace Corps experience in Guinea.

And there is always more growing up to do, so here is  Through and Through.

We know many of our songs are sad. Here is a new one,  Show me your Freedom.

But just so you know we are not sad all the time, here is an outtake from our December recording session at the Downers Grove studio.

Peace.
